It was easy to see a common theme expressed. Each monument eluded to the splitting of a family and a longing for a reunion. I imagine that this is what it would be like if the US did not reunify after the Civil War.
It is crazy to think that, after 50 years, North and South Korea are still technically at war.

Amazing indeed. My uncle Rocky fought in the Korean War. He and my aunt went back decades later for a ceremony to thank the US soldiers, and were deeply moved by the appreciation expressed. Thanks for showing us these images. I knew about the hope for reunification, but your post adds much depth to my understanding.
